International Shipping: Taxes & Duties

Here's a breakdown of the tax and duty rates for each destination:
- New Zealand: All products shipped to New Zealand are Tax & Duty Free
- Papua New Guinea: Tax: 10.00% Duties: 20.00%

To give a clearer picture: if a product is priced at AUD 20, the tax and duties are calculated as follows: (for example for New Caledonia)
- Tax: $4 (20% of $20)
- Duties: $4 (20% of $20)
This means the total price displayed will be AUD 28, inclusive of all charges.
Moreover, for a seamless shopping experience, you can view product prices in your local currency. For instance, customers in New Caledonia can check out in CFPF. So, a product that's AUD 28 (inclusive of tax and duties) will be displayed as approximately CFPF 2080, making the checkout process more intuitive and familiar.
60-Day Hassle-Free Returns:
At BabiesMart, our priority is ensuring customer satisfaction. That's why we offer a hassle-free return process within 60 days from the date of purchase for all products bought directly from our websites - babiesmart.com.au, babiesmart.co.nz, and babiesmart.nz.
Domestic Returns (Australia and New Zealand):
Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Item:
If a customer's product arrives damaged, defective, or is not what they ordered, they can contact us within 60 days of purchase. We'll quickly resolve the issue by providing a replacement or issuing a store credit. We cover return shipping costs for damaged or defective items.
Change of Mind Returns:
If a customer changes their mind about their purchase, they can return the item within 60 days of purchase for a full store credit or refund. Please note that if a customer opts for a refund, a $20 restocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
International Returns (Excluding Australia and New Zealand):
Please note that due to logistical constraints, change-of-mind returns are not accepted for international orders. However, we do offer returns for damaged, defective, or wrong items.

Address Changes:
If a customer needs to modify their shipping address, please notify us immediately at customercare@babiesmart.com.au.
Address changes can only be processed if the item has not yet been dispatched. However, if the item has already been shipped and the customer requests an address change, they will be responsible for the re-shipment costs incurred.
Incorrect or Incomplete Address:
If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer, and they opt for a refund instead of re-shipping, we will issue a store credit minus the shipping costs.
Additionally, if the customer prefers a refund, there will be a deduction for the re-stocking fee and shipping charges incurred when the items are returned back to us.
Please note that if a parcel is lost due to an incorrect address provided by the customer, we cannot be held responsible. In such cases, we do not issue refunds or store credit. However, we can assist by creating inquiries with the courier to attempt to retrieve the item, but the outcome depends on the courier's policies and procedures.
Return Conditions:
To be eligible for a return, the customer's item must be in its original condition, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.
How to Start a Return Process:
Customers can contact us at customercare@babiesmart.com.au or start a chat with our customer support. They should provide their refund reason and, for faulty or damaged items, include photos or videos. Once confirmed by our team, they'll receive return instructions.
Important Notice: Guidelines for Processing Returns:
- Timely Return: Customers should send back the item within 21 days of receiving return instructions.
- Expired Label: If the return label expires, customers should contact us for assistance.
- Return Approval: Returns must be approved before sending them back.
- Damages and Issues: Customers should inspect their order upon reception and contact us immediately if there are any issues.
Exchanges:
For quick service, customers can return the item and make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds:
Refunds are processed within 2-3 business days after receiving and inspecting the return. Please allow additional time for the customer's bank or credit card company to process the refund.
